Pakistan vs Afghanistan, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: Rashid Khan's battle with Babar Azam to watch out for
Babar Azam struggles against spin, and his battle in Pakistan's game with Afghanistan in the World Cup 2019 will be important
The Pakistan cricket team has bounced back after their loss to India with two successive wins in their belt. They have defeated teams like England, South Africa and New Zealand in the competition to keep their hopes alive for a semi-final spot.
The onus will be on Pakistani batsman Babar Azam to once again give them a platform at the top of the order. He has been the best batter for his team in the World Cup with 333 runs in six games at an average of 66.60 at a strike rate of more than 85. He scored an unbeaten hundred against the Kiwis in the last game - a team that has good and potent seam bowlers. But, his weakness has always been spin bowling, and, hence, his battle with Rashid Khan will be of utmost importance.
Azam has faced 11 deliveries from Khan in the format last year and was dismissed once, scoring 7 runs. If he can set up Azam with his variations, he is likely to succeed, and this will be a key battle to watch out for.
