Pakistan's 1992 World Cup campaign has been going eerily similar to their 2019 World Cup journey as well. Memes and Whatsapp forwards had already been shared before the team took the field against New Zealand, and just when one thought that the similiarites would end, rather spookily, they have increased.

The seventh game that Pakistan played in 1992 was on a Wednesday, while Pakistan took on New Zealand in 2019 on a Wednesday too! New Zealand were unbeaten in 1992 till they faced Pakistan, and *surprise* they were unbeaten in 2019 too till they met Pakistan! Their results have been exactly same as well, the number of balls left when they won their seventh game in 1992 and the number of balls left when they won their seventh game in 2019 - all have been same!

Ramiz Raja scored a hundred in Pakistan's seventh game in 1992. Babar Azam (5 letters in the first name, 4 in the second) scored a hundred in Pakistan's seventh game in 2019!

Here are all the similarities

In 1992:
Pakistan chased the total Vs Nz in 49.1 overs

2019:
Pakistan chased the total Vs Nz in 49.1 overs
