Pagglait Teaser: Sanya Malhotra’s bizarre reaction to her husband’s death in a quirky flick will crack you up

Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra is celebrating her birthday today, and on this day, she has given a sweet surprise to her fans. The actress has shared the teaser of her upcoming comedy film titled ‘Pagglait’. The film which looks like a fun ride from the teaser will take viewers on an emotional journey with a true-to-life portrayal of a typical middle-class family navigating a crisis. The Ludo actress Sanya, will be playing the role of a widow, has shared the teaser on her official Twitter handle. 

Sanya’s character name is Sandhya whose husband passed away five months ago. The teaser opens up with Sandhya’s brother-in-law. He is very unhappy from the fact that he is now bald and says, ‘Maarne ke baad bhi dikkat. Bhabi vidhva aur hum ganje.’ While Sandhya is lying on her bed and yawning, she is reading messages on Facebook. Her friend is also shocked to see her like this and ask her about it. Sandhya tells her that she is not feeling anything. The film will be released on Netflix on March 26, 2021. 

Talking about the film, Sanya Malhotra said, “So thrilled to announce this film which is very close to my heart on my special day. I essay the role of Sandhya, a character very different from what I have previously portrayed on-screen. My Pagglait journey was Pagglait indeed- and I can’t wait for the world to witness this unique story very soon.”

Directed and written by Umesh Bist, the film boasts an ensemble cast consisting of veteran actors - Sayani Gupta, Shrutii Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Meghna Malik and Rajesh Tailang.
