In the match against Bangladesh, the skipper walked in to bat at the third position and registered a solid 40 runs and helped the team maintain stability in their batting line-up. Lockie Ferguson- This fast bowler possesses the ability to take crucial wickets in pressure situations. In the previous game against Afghanistan, Lockie picked up 4 wickets with an economy of only 4.04. Against the Lankans, he yet again had an exceptional bowling spell and claimed 3 wickets and gave away just 22 runs in 6.2 overs. New Zealand will rely heavily on this fast bowler along with James Neesham who managed to get a 5-wicket haul in the match against Afghanistan.
