He smashed a solid 148 runs off 154 deliveries against West Indies where the team won by 5 runs in a close encounter in the World Cup.
James Neesham- Despite the team’s humiliating loss against the Men in Green, New Zealand’s James Neesham scored a brilliant unbeaten 97 and gave a tough fight to Pakistan. This New Zealand all-rounder who came to bat in at number six smashed 97 runs off 112 runs with a strike rate of 86.61 and was the highest run-scorer for the team. Along with his reliable batting, Neesham has been exceptional with his bowling as well. Against the Afghans, Neesham claimed a five wicket haul in his 10 over spell with an economy as low as 3.10.
