National treasures BTS & Bong Joon Ho get a shout out in the first episode of Song Joong Ki's Vincenzo

The first episode of Vincenzo aired for the first time on Netflix yesterday, 20 February 2021 and the ratings for the same immediately skyrocketed. Song Joong Ki's return to the small screen is more than welcome and credit is due to the production team for making this drama look as good as it does. In the first half of the drama, Song Joong Ki's character Vincenzo makes it to South Korea but as soon as he lands, he faces a series of unfortunate events.

A limousine driver in front of the airport offers his services to Vincenzo and Vincenzo, not knowing any better, takes him up on his offer. He gets in the limousine and is too lost in thoughts to notice the news broadcast on the radio that is warning citizens of fraudulent taxi-drivers that lure passengers and then spike their drink to have them pass out. They then proceed to rob them of all their belongings and leave them stranded. While lost in thoughts, Vincenzo takes a gulp of the drink in the car and soon starts to feel dizzy. To distract him from the news further, the driver goes on to say that frauds and con-men like those are ruining the country's reputation which BTS and Bong Joon Ho have worked so hard to build up. While the situation isn't ideal, he sure is spitting straight facts.
