James Gunn took to Instagram to break his silence on Guardians of the Galaxy. Read below to know what the GOTG 3 director has to say on Asgardians of the Galaxy.
James Gunn, director of the first two installments in MCU's (Marvel Cinematic Universe) Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, was embroilled in recent controversy as he was fired from directing GOTG 3 because of his insensitive tweets, which were tweeted years ago. However, the director got support from the entire cast of Guardians of the Galaxy, who penned an open letter for him. Eventually, Disney and Marvel Studios reinstated James as the director of GOTG 3 and he is now back in business!
A lot of discussion regarding GOTG 3 has already begun thanks to the ending of Avengers: Endgame. Thor was seen taking a ride to space with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Immediately, Asgardians of the Galaxy became a synonymous name with GOTG 3. When James Gunn was pleaded by a fan not to name the third installment as Asgardians of the Galaxy, James revealed that the fan need not worry. This means that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will not be named as Asgardians of the Galaxy!

Meanwhile, Dave Bautista spoke to Collider about defending James Gunn when he was fired. "James [Gunn] is my friend. I love him. He helped change my life and I know he’s a decent person. He was being attacked. And what do you do when your friends are being attacked? You defend them, or you’re not really a friend," Bautista shared.
