A Flying Jatt Music Review: Tiger and Jacqueline with Sachin-Jigar will surely make you dance
A Flying Jatt is a superhero film and we can give it a benefit of doubt that the music of the film might not be up to the mark. But wait, remember Hrithik's Krrish is also a superhero film but the music did well on the charts. The songs of A Flying Jatt have been composed by Sachin-Jigar, the duo who were behind Badlapur's music. The film stars Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles and is set to hit the screens on August 25 this year.
Before its release, we give you our review for the music of A Flying Jatt.
Tittle Track
High on energy and full-on swag, the title track of A Flying Jatt will get you grooving instantly - Yaar Sada Jaat Ve - and you would just go on tapping your feet. Raftaar, Mansheel Gujral and Tanishkaa come together for the opening track and they make an impact right at the onset. The beats and vocals will make you stand and just dance right away. Bhangra adds to the quirkiness of the already-fast-paced music. The lyrics of the song are catchy and if you really want to enjoy the song, maximize your volume and just get going.
Toota Jo Kabhi Tara
After this energetic music, you have a soothing love song Toota Jo Kabhi Tara. This song will get the memories of Badlapur's Jeena Jeena and it is a noteworthy romantic ballad. Sung by Atif Aslam and Sumedha Karmahe, the song will ease you out and you are bound to travel with your thoughts (this song is for all the lovers). Their pairing creates a magical effect.
Khair Mangda
This song from A Flying Jatt might remind you of ABCD 2's Chunar. The lyrics, written by Priya Saraiya, are powerful and would keep you on the edge of the seat. After Toota Jo Kabhi Tera, Atif Aslam is back with a solo number. His voice is so natural and fits well to the sufi beats in the song. This is probably the best song in the whole album, but yes it's a situational one. When Atif goes high pitch, you would also want to sing along with him. This song will surely leave you emotional and teary-eyed. Atif does a good job and you are thankful to the composers Sachin-Jigar.
Bhangra Pa
Put your dancing shoes on for this number from the song. Sung by Vishal Dadlani, Asses Kaur and Divya Kumar, Bhangra Pa will surely be one of those Punjabi songs, which are played in all the weddings. Remember Saddi Galli from Tanu Weds Manu Returns? How that song became an instant hit among all the Punjabi fukhras? Bhangra Pa also has the same potential. This song is indeed a peppy foot tapping number. All the dhol-nagada in the number will make you put your hands up in the air and say 'Dhing Lak Lak'.
Beat Pe Booty
Here comes Beat Pe Booty, mind it this is one of the songs which is ruling the music charts. Jacqueline Fernandez's moves in the song are already a hot topic of discussion. Singers Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya along with Vayu and Kanika Kapoor have bought in that right element of naughtiness in the song (Your Booty might also move along with the beats).
Raj Karega Khalsa
Jako Rakhe Saiyan Maar Sake Na Koi
There would be no better song than Daler Mehndi's Raj Karega Khalsa to end this jukebox. This theme track comes with full force. The song would make a large impact when heard on 70mm screen. Navraj Hans joins Daler Mehndi behind the mike and the song will cast its spell on you.
Here's the jukebox:
Verdict: The film's music will largely work for Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez. Those who thought Sachin-Jigar will not be able to get that same vibe after Badlapur, this jukebox will change your mindset. The album has all the variations in the music, from being fast-paced and energetic to romantic and soulful numbers.
We give it 70 out of 100 on Pinkvilla meter.
