MS Dhoni fails to hear nick as Jason Roy survives in World Cup 2019
In the 11th over, Jason Roy edged a ball to the keeper, but the umpire failed to spot it. The captain wanted to go for the DRS, but Dhoni thought otherwise and India missed out on getting a wicket.
MS Dhoni failed to hear a nick when Jason Roy seemed to miss a pull in the 11th over of the innings off the bowling of Hardik Pandya. The umpire Aleem Dar gave the ball a wide, but reviews suggested that the ball brushed Roy's gloves before going to the keeper.
Captain Virat Kohli and Pandya wanted to take the DRS decision and go upstairs, but Dhoni was not so keen, and India missed picking their first wicket. Roy eventually went on to make 66 and shared a 160-run partnership for the first wicket to help England to a dominating position.
He had also been involved in a similar incident against Pakistan, where Kohli was certain a decision was out, but Dhoni thought otherwise and the Indian team missed out on a wicket.
The DRS, was also termed as 'Dhoni Review System' by fans due to his accuracy in it. But with two wrong decisions, fans have not spared the wicket-keeper.
This is how Twitter reacted.
Now only calm is left... #INDvENG
