What makes K-Pop different and exciting for legions of fans across the globe? It is the concept of survival shows because it allows the best of talent to shine through. One of the biggest K-Pop survival shows that exist as of today is Mnet's Kingdom. It is the male version of the competitor show Queendom.  The Boyz, who were the final winners on the preliminary show Road to Kingdom, where they competed against the likes of Pentagon, Golden Child, Verivery, ONF, TOO, Oneus, have now successfully secured their spot in Kingdom.

According to an official teaser released by Mnet Kpop via Soompi, The Boyz will be competing on Kingdom along with Stray Kids, ATEEZ, BTOB 4U, iKON, and SF9. Legendary Gen 2 group TVXQ's members Yunho and Changmin will be hosting the show. The teaser opens with the caption - Legendary War. We see HongJoong of ATEEZ express that he cannot believe they are competing on Kingdom. BTOB's Minhyuk chips in saying "Those who dream are not lazy." The production team meets up with the six competing groups and TVXQ. They announce that the first recording will feature the groups’ 100-second introduction performances, it will be streamed live and global audiences will cast their vote. However, global voting will take place only for a specific period of time and will be a share of the total score for the groups.

The groups are shocked that they have to film and broadcast their performances on the same day. The caption reads Introduction Stage Global Vote February 23, 8 pm KST. We see glimpses of performances by ATEEZ, BTOB, iKON, SF9, Stray Kids and The Boyz.

You can watch the preview teaser below:

At the end of the video, we can see TVXQ's Yunho and Changmin ask the staff if the performances will really be one take with no chance for retakes or will the competing groups be allowed second chances at all. The staff playfully addressed their concern by confirming the fact saying that it would most definitely be a one-take unless the camera director trips. The voting will take place on the Whosfan mobile application on February 23 at 8 pm KST.
