In fact, the trailer of The Married Woman also grabbed a lot of attention and fans are eagerly waiting to watch the series. And while the show is set to be premiered this month on the digital platform, the makers are taking special cautions towards the content and are making sure the show delivers the right message.
Talking about the same, a source stated, “Recapturing the true essence of the novel for the cinematic medium, the makers feel truly responsible for not just the content, but also it is intent. The show touches upon many subjects like same-sex love, women trapped in marriage, and gender issues that are still considered taboo in our society. But all these issues are dealt with utmost sensitivity, dignity and grace in the show. 'The Married Woman' is the story of individuality, love and acceptance. Since it's a story that needs to be told, the makers, including the creative team of ALTBalaji, have been leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the viewers enjoy the show and understand the underlying message that comes with it. Doing so, the team have been personally ensuring every episode of the show is up to the mark.”
Earlier, Ridhi, in an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, had opened up on the show and stated, “The Married Woman as a show is like a soft breeze. It's gentle and sensitive in handling Astha's emotions and also the various societal stereotypes and taboos. And I wish it's reflective of love and acceptance of the LGBT community because it is a story about love and acceptance of individuals over conditioning.” Apart from Ridhi and Moni, The Married Woman also features Imaad Shah, Ayesha Raza, Rahul Vohra, Divya Seth Shah, Nadira Babbar, and Suhaas Ahuja, among others.
