Manoj Bajpayee's The Family Man Season 2 release to be pushed amid Tandav and Mirzapur controversies?
According to a latest report, recent controversies with the streaming platform's series' namely Tandav and Mirzapur seems to have affected the release of The Family Man.
Manoj Bajpayee left his fans and followers super excited when he dropped the teaser of season two of The Family Man earlier this month. The hit web series was loved by millions when it first released in 2019. However, ever since the teaser release, the series' trailer release has been delayed and now as per latest reports, Amazon Prime Video is in talks to delay the release of the show.
According to a PTI report, recent controversies with the streaming platform's series' namely Tandav and Mirzapur seems to have affected the release of The Family Man. While Manoj Bajpayee's thriller drama does not have any references to religion, the makers are not keen on releasing it amidst the ongoing turmoil.
"The streaming platform is talking, debating about delaying the release of the show," a source close to the development told PTI. The trailer of The Family Man season two was set to release on 19 January. However, there was no release. The show is now slated for a 12 February release, but we wonder if it will be releasing on that day.
Saif Ali Khan starrer Tandav and its makers faced several complaints by agitated citizens who accused the show for hurting Hindu sentiments. The makers of Mirzpur also faced similar complaints of allegedly hurting religious sentiments and showing the state in a bad light.
