Meanwhile, on the work front, Athiya made her Bollywood debut with Hero opposite Sooraj Pancholi. She recently starred in Mubarakan alongside Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz. The film directed by Anees Bazmee won hearts of the audience for its comedy.
Recently, Athiya spoke about being a star kid to a leading agency. She said, "There are advantages and disadvantages of being a star child. You see, I get a lot of love and appreciation from the elders of the film industry as well as from the media fraternity by default because of the goodwill that my father has earned."
