Jonny Bairstow leads England into the semis of the World Cup 2019; Twitter reacts

England became the third team to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup 2019 as they defeated New Zealand by 119 runs. They have qualified for the top four for the first time since 1992. 

Choosing to bat first, Jonny Bairstow scored his second hundred on the trot as he smashed 106 off 99 balls to become the first Englishman to score successive tons in the edition. He helped the hosts to a target of 305, which proved too much for the Kiwi side, who succumbed to their third loss on the trot. 

After Australia and India, England became the third team to qualify.
