Jennie REVEALS she's grateful BLACKPINK can watch each other go from being teenagers to being in their 20s
BLACKPINK members spoke candidly in an interview about BLACKPINK - The Album while also comparing their past and present selves as to whether they have changed or stayed the same.
BLACKPINK is in our area and we couldn't be more excited. The popular South Korean girl group finally released their first official studio album titled BLACKPINK - The Album. As expected, the quartet's hard work is paying off as BLACKPINK - The Album has reached No. 1 in 57 countries on iTunes Top Albums chart including the US. The lead single Lovesick Girls was able to rake in an impressive 62 million views for its emotionally stirring music video.
During a recent interview via Naver TV and Soompi, Rosé gushed how she was really happy that BLACKPINK could put out good music in a variety of genres, like "hip hop, R&B, and dance." Lisa shared how the members ae downtrodden over performing on stage without BLINKS due to COVID-19 restrictions. The 23-year-old revealed that the first thing BLACKPINK wants to do when it's safe is going on tour as they really miss BLINKS. However, Lisa also teased that there's something the girls have prepared for BLINKS so they should look forward to it before their eventual reunion.
While comparing their past and current selves, on whether they have changed or stayed the same, Jisoo confessed that when BLACKPINK were trainees, although they were busy, the fun they had was "enjoyment of working hard and running together." As for now, the 25-year-old singer admits, BLACKPINK is running to try to make more people happy while having them relate to their feelings. The four members have wanted the same things and hence, Jisoo feels that they have always been running with the same feelings.
On the other hand, Jennie added, "I’m grateful that we’re able to watch each other as we go from being teenagers to being in our 20s, and it’s a lot of fun." The 24-year-old rapper admitted that the members' backgrounds and patterns might be different but she's amazed by how they become one again whenever they converse about performing or music. Jennie wants to praise BLACKPINK for doing well and hopes that they can have even more fun as they keep running together in the future.
