It seems like Lilac is the colour of the season! After BLACKPINK's Rosé unveiled new teaser posters for her upcoming solo debut, Korea's golden-voiced lady, IU dropped a new sentimental objet teaser called HILAC, ahead of her 5th full album comeback. Similar to Rosé, IU too opted for two contrasting teaser videos. Previously, on February 25, she dropped her first objet teaser, titled BYLAC. BYLAC had a more peppy tune, with a red and black themed background.

In HILAC's objet teaser, Dressed in a lilac dress, she is seen resting her head on her knees, her melodious voice filling the background beautifully. IU's soothing voice perfectly complements her angelic visuals. As the melodious tune progresses, she is seen waking up from her slumber, her eyes fixed upon something. The common element in both the objet teasers is the reference of dried rose petals/leaves that alludes to something interesting and mysterious. Perhaps it is a hint for something tragic or heartbreaking? Also, the names seem like a wordplay for the names of different colours. BYLAC refers to the colour Black and HILAC refers to the colour Lilac. Could there be some connection?

This will serve as IU's first full album release in approximately 4 years, since Palette. The songstress will make her grand comeback within this month itself. Meanwhile, International fans are hoping that the longstanding issue between the Korean giant Kakao M versus International streaming service Spotify is resolved soon so that international Uaena can enjoy IU's new album when it releases.
