Salman Khan advised Suraj to end the relationship with Jiah: Rabbiya Khan
In a most shocking incident which rocked Bollywood, Jiah Khan committed suicide by hanging in her Juhu apartment on June 3. Since then, there have been many a speculation made on the why's and how's. While many blamed Jiah's failing career as the reason behind the suicide, Jiah's mother firmly believes that it was her daughter's heart break that drove her to this extreme step. In an interview to TOI Jiah's mother Rabbiya Khan speaks about Jiah's life, her love, and all the issues she was facing.
What is interesting is that Rabbiya mentions how Salman Khan tried to talk Suraj out of the relationship. Apparently, Suraj refused to take that advice at the point. When asked by TOI if Rabbiya ever discussed Jiah's and Suraj's relationship with Aditya Pancholi, she answered:
"It's a misconception that Aditya and I were friends. Aditya is Anju Mahendroo's friend. If he was my friend, things would have been amicable and this incident wouldn't have happened. But yeah, I know he threw a fit when he came to know about his son's relationship with my daughter. He even told Salman Khan about it, who tried to talk Suraj out of it. But Suraj told him that he loved Jiah and Salman was then cool about it."
Well, seems like Suraj stood up for Jiah at this point. Perhaps things went downhill later. What a pity that it all ended up this way.
Rabbiya also mentioned in the interview that Jiah's estranged father called up Rabbiya, and cried a lot over the phone. All her life Jiah was yearning for some affection from her dad and sadly for her, the call came after she passed away...
