Ranveer: Lootera performance at par with Ram Leela
Ranveer Singh had a quick chat with the media at 59th Idea Filmfare Awards' red carpet.
When asked about his nomination, Ranveer, although happy, expressed some disappointment on how Lootera had been ignored at award functions. He said, "I am very happy to be nominated in the Best Actor category alongside such great actors. But I am slightly disappointed that my other film 'Lootera' has not been highlighted as much as it deserved and has not got as many nominations. I strongly feel that my performance in 'Lootera' is at par with my performance in 'Ram Leela'. 'Lootera' is somewhere underrated."
Sonakshi Sinha who also expressed similar views on this issue, had even taken to Twitter to express her displeasure on how the movie was snubbed by award shows.
However, despite the Lootera disappointment, Ranveer looked very upbeat (as usual) at the event and talked enthusiastically about his Ram-Leela co-star, "I am sure Deepika will win the Best Actor (Female) Award."
