Don't feel good when comparison happens between me & Irrfan: Nawazuddin
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Irrfan Khan are two most talented actors in B’Town today. The duo shared a strong chemistry in Ritesh Batra’s ‘The Lunchbox’ which was praised by everyone including their co-star Nimrat Kaur. They have always been compared for their acting skills and Nawazuddin says he doesn’t feel good when that happens.
In an interview with DNA, Nawazuddin said, “It gets a bit irritating. He is a very senior actor and I respect him a lot. But I don’t feel good when comparison happens. Each individual is different. By comparing, people are only insulting both is us. Neither are they understanding his craft, nor mine.”
The actor was critically acclaimed for his performance as Laik in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Badlapur’. Though the movie has not been able to get good numbers at the box-office, he is hopeful that it will do well. He is happy with the response that the movie received despite the World Cup fever.
Nawazuddin will soon begin shooting for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’. He will also be seen with Salman Khan in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Talking about working with the two superstars, he said, “It feels great. I am quite looking forward to working with Shah Rukh. As for Salman, I didn't really bond with him while shooting for Kick, but during Bajrangi Bhaijaan, we have quite a good time.”
