Skipper Virat Kohli gives thumbs up to the new Indian team jersey and says that it is great for one game. However, the Indian skipper also mentioned that Blue will always remain their colour and that the team is extremely proud to wear it.

On asked about his opinion regarding the new Indian team jersey, Skipper Virat Kohli said that “I quite like it, I think it’s right up there. For me, it would be eight. Honestly, I’m not saying it for the sake of it. I really like it. The contrast is very nice.”

“For one game, it’s fine. I don’t think permanently we’d be heading in that direction because Blue has always been our colour, very proud to wear that. For a change and looking at the occasion, I think it’s a very smart kit,” Virat added.

Team India has been extremely dominating in the World Cup and is the only team to remain unbeaten so far in the tournament.

However, India is not the only team in the tournament to change their jersey colours for a game in the tournament. Apart from the host country, England, all the teams in the World Cup are bound to have an alternative away kit. South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan all have their away kit with an alternative colour in the tournament. New Zealand and West Indies, because of their unique jersey colour need not have an away kit.

The Men in Blue will take on the England cricket team in the 38th match of the tournament at Edgbaston cricket ground.
