India vs West Indies T20I series: After World Cup elimination, Indi is set to tour West Indies for a long tour, starting from August 2nd with 3-match T20I series. Here is India's predicted squad for the series
The action resumes for Team India after World Cup elimination on August 2nd as they travel to the Caribbean for a long tour. The tour will kickstart with a three-match T20I series with an eye on the upcoming T20 World Cup. Windies, without any doubt, have one of the best, if not the best, T20 teams in the world. While India, on the other hand, hasn’t been consistent enough in the shortest format.
The Men in Blue, however, would be aiming to start things on a top note after missing out on a final spot in the mega World Cup. The Virat Kohli’s men will be eager to get going in the series, so as to start the preparation for the 2020 T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of debate going on about who will make it to the squad for this tour. There are reports claiming senior players could be rested, considering the workload. However, with no confirmation on the same, India is more likely to go with the full-fledged team at least in T20 and Test formats.
Though several new faces might also be tested for this assignment. The top performers of ongoing India ‘A’ and West Indies ‘A’ series will be in the scheme of things while those having done well in the Indian Premier League also will get a look for the T20I series. India plays three T20Is with the first one to be played on August 2nd at Flordia while the second and third on August 4, 6 at Florida and Guyana, respectively.
Here is India’s predicted squad for T20I series against West Indies:
