India vs West Indies, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: Live score after first innings
Kohli and Dhoni made fifties while Hardik Pandya contributed with 46 as India made 268 against West Indies
The Indian cricket team hobbled their way to 268 runs after Virat Kohi and MS Dhoni scored fifties. The uneven bounce on the track made batting tough, but a stellar innings from Kohli, followed by an unbeaten 50 from former captain Dhoni meant that the Indian team finished with a competitive score.
After Rohit Sharma was out off a wrong decision, India lost regular wickets and were 126 for 3. The score read 180 for 5 when Kohli got out, and Dhoni, along with Hardik Pandya, who made 46 in 38 took India over the 250-run mark.
The innings, however, was defined by Dhoni's slow start. He was 20 off 40 balls at one end, but ended like a true champion to give India a realistic chance of winning the game.
