India vs Pakistan, World Cup 2019: When cricket field turns into pool of emotions
India takes on Pakistan at Manchester tomorrow

How does a cricket match commence? Two captains come out for toss; one of them finds luck with the coin and gets to decide whether he would like to bat or bowl first. Following this, the team batting first sets a target for the bowling side, who later succeeds or fails in chasing that down. Lastly, one team runs away with a win and other with a defeat. That’s all!

It sounds too simple. But is it really this simple? Do thousands of people in the stadium and millions of those hanging in front of their television and smartphone screens go crazy just to see these steps, one after another?

Logically, yes, this is it. However, ask a cricket enthusiast that what actually it is and the answer most of the times would be, “No way, it is beyond this. It isn’t just a game; it’s a sublime feeling, a driving force, an emotion”

But what makes it so? Love for your nation or game or both? “No, none of these, it’s just indefinable,” is what a die-hard cricket fan might say.

Amid all this cricketing action; when two neighbors, the rivals for decades, the one way or another way alike (when it comes to passion for cricket) meet each other in a cricket field, the world just cannot remain calm. Yes, it is the reality. When India and Pakistan take the field together, there rarely is a person across the border who misses even a second of it. There never is an empty seat in the stadium. Not only the people from the two countries, but the entire world remains in awe of seeing the neighbors clash.

No, it isn’t new. This is how it has been for years and years. However, when players are asked to define how they see this match, mostly the response remains, "Just another match." True? No, not that simple is what former legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar feels.

"It's a different game without any doubt. Sometimes in a press conference, players want to play that low key message but in your mind, you know it's different as people react to it differently," Tendulkar was quoted as saying ahead of the upcoming India-Pakistan clash.

The two teams are facing each other after the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final tomorrow at Manchester. Although there is always excitement when India and Pakistan lock horns, this time it is a bit more thrilling, considering the importance of the World Cup.

“When Pakistan play India it's always a huge game, but their meeting on Sunday is shaping up to be more crucial than ever." Former Pakistan skipper, Waqar Younis said.

The tickets for this encounter were sold within some hours and people haven’t stopped talking about this match soon after the fixtures of ICC World Cup 2019 were released. Now, finally, when India and Pakistan meet tomorrow, the cricket field will turn into a pool of emotions with billions of people sitting on the edge of their seats, praying for their respective teams.
