India vs Pakistan, ICC World Cup 2019: Key players from the Men in Green to watch out for

Pakistan cricket team that currently ranks second last in the points table has been quite unpredictable in the tournament so far. In 4 matches, the team lost 2, won the one against the hosts and their match against Sri Lanka was called off due to excess rain. The Men in Green has never won against the Indian team in a World Cup match and has lost all the six matches dating back in 1992. Will the Men in Green be able to break this record in Manchester today? Let’s have a look at their key players.

Mohammad Amir - With 10 wickets in only 3 matches of the tournament so far, this Pakistani bowler is the team’s biggest and strongest asset in the World Cup. Even though Pakistan lost their previous game against the Aussies by 41 runs, Amir claimed a 5 wicket haul being the most crucial bowler for the team. In his 10 over spell, he gave away just 30 runs with an economy as low as 3.00. He’ll play a crucial role in tackling the stalwarts of the Indian cricket team and restricting them to a low total in the match.

Mohammad Hafeez - This Pakistani all-rounder has been consistent with his form throughout the tournament. He scored a solid 46 against the Aussies and picked up one crucial wicket of Steve Smith in that game. Against England, he smashed 84 runs off 62 deliveries with a strike rate of 135.48 and picked up one wicket. The team will hope for this player to showcase his talent with both bat and ball in against the Men in Blue.
