India vs Pakistan, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: Match Prediction
India walk into the game as favourites as they have a more experienced batting attack.
The much-awaited clash between India and Pakistan is set to be held on Sunday. Pakistan have blown hot and cold in the edition thus far, with one win in four games, while India have two wins from three matches, with one game being washed out due to rain.
Comparing the two sides, Pakistan walk into this game as underdogs. Their middle order is capable of collapsing on seam-friendly tracks, and other tham Mohammad Amir, their seamers have been inconsistent as well.
However, India will be troubled as they will be without Shikhar Dhawan, who has been ruled out due to a thumb fracture. KL Rahul, who is expected to bat up the order, does not exude much confidence, while Vijay Shankar at number 4 is inexperienced and does not seem as reliable on a tough track in overcast conditions.
However, on a track where the ball will do enough for the oacers, the team that has a better batting attack and can withstand the swinging ball will be the winners. India has players like Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and Hradik Pandya in their ranks - all experienced campaigners who are capable of maintaining composure in pressure situatsions. Hence, they are the favourites.
