Team India extended their unbeaten run in World Cups against Pakistan to seven matches after crushing them by 89 runs at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday. Their performance earned praise from several top leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah. He tweeted, "Another strike on Pakistan by Team India and the result is same. Congratulations to the entire team for this superb performance. Every Indian is feeling proud and celebrating this impressive win"

Other prominent leaders with the likes of Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and sports minister Kiren Rijiju too joined together to extend their heartiest congratulations to Team India.

Riding on a brilliant century from Rohit Sharma and half centuries from KL Rahul and skipper Virat Kohli, Team India posted a mammoth total of 336, a total well above the reach of the Pakistan batsmen.

In reply, Team India's bowlers chipped in with wickets at regular intervals and made run scoring very difficult for Pakistan. Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets apiece and ensured a comfortable victory for Team India by 89 runs. With this victory, Team India moved on to the third position in the points table and have bright chances for a semi final berth.
