After going down to hosts England in the previous game, Team India will look to bounce back strongly when they face Bangladesh at the same venue here at Birmingham. With Vijay Shankar ruled out of the tournament, Rishabh Pant's role in the team becomes more relevant in the upcoming games. If he fails to perform, Dinesh Karthik is waiting the wings and he could walk in straightaway at any position in the middle-order. Though not assured of a place in the knockouts, India will look to seal it as soon as possible.

Bangladesh on the other hand, need to win both their games against India and Pakistan. Hence, every game here on is a virtual knockout for them. They have been in great form in this tournament, beating South Africa, West Indies and Afghanistan. If they carry on in the same vein, they might even beat India and Pakistan and enter into the knockouts. The main problem lies with their bowlers who have conceded totals in excess of three hundreds many times in the tournament. On the batting front, Shakib Al Hasan has had a dream run in the tournament amassing 476 runs from 6 games at an average of 95.2. He would look to continue his dream run and help his side into the semis of the ICC Cricket World Cup for the first time ever.
