After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Team India finihsed with 314 runs on the board in the first innings against Bangladesh in the World Cup 2019 encounter.

Led by Rohit Sharma's brisk 104 - his fourth hundred in the touranemnt - and KL Rahul's 77, the Men in Blue scored 180 for the first wicket, but regular wickets meant that the innings was stalled after the duo were out.

Between overs 30 to 40, India could just score 70 runs for the loss of three wickets. Rishabh Pant, playing his second World Cup game, steadied the ship with a knock of 48 in 41 deliveries, but a beautiful delivery by Shakib Al Hasan saw him back in the pavilion.

MS Dhoni tried to take the score past 330, but some fine bowling from Mustafizur Rahman in the death meant that Virat Kohli's men could only get to 314. On a slow and a flat track, the target might not be enough, and it will require a special effort from the likes of Bumrah, Shami and Chahal to keep Bangladesh away from the target.
