India vs Afghanistan Match prediction: Who will win today Ind vs Afg Cricket World Cup 2019
Afghanistan and India played out a tie last time they met but the latter are the favourites for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash.
India will take on tenth-ranked Afghanistan on Saturday in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Though India are the hot favourites for this game, the tricky nature of the wicket and the risk of complacency can make this a more enthralling affair than fans expect.
The pitch here at the Rose Bowl usually assists the pacers, with the ball massively deviating early on. If Afghanistan bowl first and can stick to a good line and length, the duo of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma can be disturbed.
However, apart from this, the Afghans are unlikely to cause major problems to Virat Kohli's Men. The batting line-up of India is one of the strongest in the world at the moment, and with Rashid Khan not in good form as well, they could further struggle. India's bowlers, comprising Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammad Shami, are bound to be rattle the top-order early on as well, especially if the conditions are overcast.
The only hope that Afghanistan will have is if they win the toss and choose to bat first. They can then hope of getting close to 250 runs on the board - and if their bowlers can bowl with accuracy, they can run India close. Players like Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Mohammad Nabi are talented, and have the experience of bowling to these players in the IPL, which should hold them in good stead.
The two teams played out a tie in the Asia Cup last year, which should give the Afghans immense condifidence. However, India are the favourites.
