Virat Kohli reveals about the time he had sleepless night; shares a funny incident:Ind vs Pak, World Cup
The Men in Blue will take on the arch-rivals Pakistan which is considered to be one of the biggest games in the tournament at Manchester, today.
Whilst the hype around this high intensity game and the constant pressure for the players, Skipper Virat Kohli took a moment to share some of the funny moments on field between these two nations. The skipper also revealed that one incident against the Men in Green where had a sleepless night.
Recalling the incident, the Indian skipper revealed that it was back in the 2009 Champions Trophy where India’s most prominent all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh fractured a finger before the big clash. Virat was flown in and within two days he was playing against Pakistan at Centurion. Virat however, played a very bad shot that day to which he recalls and says that he didn’t experience anything like that before. Virat also revealed that he was unable to sleep till six in the morning that day and was just staring at the ceiling thinking that he’s finished. Fortunately, for the Indian cricket, Virat Kohli went on to be the most integral part of the squad and is now leading the team in a World Cup tournament.
The Indian skipper also shared a funny incident on the field by recalling a match in 2011 World Cup at Mohali. He said that he saw a little incident from the non-strikers end which was extremely funny. When asked about the incident, he said that it was between Shahid Afridi and Wahab Riaz, however, said that cannot elaborate the conversation he heard.
India vs Pakistan has always been a big encounter in the World Cup and the fans will just hope for the rain to not interrupt this big clash, today at Manchester.
