Ind vs Pak, ICC World Cup 2019: Kuldeep Yadav REVEALS getting Babar Azam out was his dream delivery

Winning the toss the Pakistani Captain opted to bowl first and the Men in Blue put across 336 runs on board at the end of 50 overs. The Indian team defended this huge target with ease after the interruption of rain and the reduced 10 overs from the game. Kuldeep Yadav who had an exceptional bowling figure claimed 2 wickets at the end of his 9-over spell with an economy of 3.56. However, the highlight of his bowling attack was the wicket he took of Pakistani’s Babar Azam, dismissing him at 48 runs.

Kuldeep admitted that getting Babar Azam out was the best delivery for him in the entire tournament and recalled that he had got him out in the Asia Cup as well. The Chinaman further added that after the rain break he went back and watched that delivery. He had a drift and turn which will make any spinner love that that delivery.

“It’s a proper dream delivery and a proper test delivery. Deceiving the batsman in the air and making him comment the mistake. A perfect delivery,” Yadav told the reporters after the match.

When asked about this wicket, Yadav also said that getting Babar out followed by another wicket helped to put the Pakistani batsmen under the pressure. According to the DLS method, their required run-rate was pretty high which added further pressure on them.

When asked about his rhythm, the Indian bowler cleared the air and said that he doesn’t think he has lost his rhythm. It happens when you don’t pick wickets for a couple of games but the last three matches have been great for him.

The Men in Blue will play their next against Afghanistan on June, 22.
