ICC World Cup: Rohit Sharma has a funny reply to a Pakistani journalist when asked for batting tips
Rohit Sharma scored his second hundred of the ICC World Cup 2019 tournament by registering a solid 140 against Pakistan at Old Trafford, Manchester.
Indian cricket team won against the arch-rivals Pakistan by a huge margin of 89 runs on Sunday at Old Trafford cricket ground, Manchester. However, once again, it was the Indian opener Rohit Sharma who smashed a splendid hundred and helped the team put across a respectable total of 336 at the end of 50 overs. He has been in a tremendous form throughout the tournament and has been extremely consistent with his bat.
However, in the post-match press conference, this Indian opener was asked by a Pakistani reporter as to what advice he would like to give to the Pakistani batsmen. Pakistan has been struggling with their batting in the tournament, and hence, the journalists were quick enough to ask the Player of the Match, Rohit for his advice.
To this, the Indian opener smiled and said, “Agar main Pakistan ka coach bana to main bataunga, abhi kya bataunga!” (If I become the coach of Pakistan then surely I will tell you. What can I say now). His reply made the entire room burst into laughter.
Rohit Sharma who has been in an excellent form in the tournament, registering two centuries and one half century in 3 games, credited baby daughter, Samaira for his exceptional form. He said that he is in a really good space right now since the birth of his daughter. He also added that he is just enjoying his cricket coming off from a great IPL campaign. He further said that here they are focused on starting well and the team together is heading in the right direction.
