James McAvoy spoke about the epic prank pulled by X-Men: Dark Phoenix co-stars Sophie Turner and Jessica Chastain. Read below to know what James had to say about the same.
All X-Men franchise fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next installment, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which is focused on Jean Grey (played by Sophie Turner). X-Men: Dark Phoenix also stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier aka Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr aka Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme aka Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy aka Beast and Jessica Chastain as an alien shapeshifter. The movie will see Jean losing control of her abilities and raise hell as Dark Phoenix rises.
James, who has been a part of the X-Men franchise for a long time spoke candidly about his bond with co-stars Turner and Chastain. Talking about their epic prank on James during the shoot of X-Men Dark Pheonix, James revealed, "Yeah, I was the subject of some of that! There’s a bit where my body is being controlled by Jean Grey, so to achieve that, they put me on wires, and they would pull my body around. Those two had a lot of fun with that and an iTunes version of the Macarena!"

Meanwhile, in an interview with E! News, while talking about playing a strong female character in a superhero film, Sophie shared, "Growing up, I didn't really feel like...I'd seen a superhero movie with a really strong female at the helm. Now, it's so great that young girls and young boys and your daughter can grow up and watch this movie and look at it and say, 'Oh wow, what a strong, well-rounded, accurate representation of a woman.'"
