WWE SmackDown on FOX: Brock Lesnar DEFEATS Kofi Kingston in 10 seconds but Cain Velasquez rains on his parade
During the premiere episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, Brock Lesnar defeated Kofi Kingston in 10 seconds to become the new WWE Champion. However, two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez rained on The Beast's parade. Check out the videos below.
It was an eventful night for wrestling fans as they got their share of power-packed fodder to keep them satiated untill next week, courtesy of the hugely-awaited Friday Night Smackdown's premiere episode on FOX. While The Rock returned to kickstart the show, the main event belonged to Brock Lesnar, who was set to face WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. While announcing his client, Paul Heyman foreshadowed The New Day member's fate when he bellowed, "Introducing, the Kofi Conquering Night Mayor of Suplex City, Brock Lesnar!"
With barely 10 seconds on the clock and a vicious F-5 later, Brock pinned Kofi clean and was crowned the new WWE Champion. However, the celebration did not last long as Rey Mysterio brought along a surprise guest. We all remember the deadly ambush on Rey and his son Dominic during this week's Monday Night RAW, courtesy of The Beast! Mr. 619 was accompanied by two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion, Cain Velasquez! UFC fans will remember the 2010 bout between Cain and Brock where Velasquez defeated Brock in under five minutes.
Cain was quick to tame The Beast as he dropped Lesnar down and was all fired up with some deadly punches. However, Brock was quick to shy away from his UFC opponent and walked away. While the new WWE Champ teased a possible brawl, he smirked and walked away as Velasquez tried to egg The Beast to come face him inside the squared circle.

Meanwhile, Cain revealed in a backstage interview that the reason why he came to WWE and ambushed Brock was that he wanted to avenge what had happened to his close friend, Rey and his son on RAW.
