Roman Reigns, who was once The Top Dog on Monday Night RAW, recently shifted sides to SmackDown Live owing to the Superstar Shakeup. However, the WWE wrestler had some unfinished business on RAW and appeared in this week's episode. Before RAW aired, Roman had tweeted, "I’m back on #SDLive, but I still have some business on #Raw. I’ll see y’all Monday. #ProtectTheYard" In accordance with the storyline, WWE tweeted back that Roman was banned from appearing on RAW. However, that did not stop Mr. Reigns.
To kickoff Monday Night RAW, Roman confronted Vince McMahon. He fired shots at Vince stating that he is done listening to the McMahons and would listen to the WWE Universe instead. SmackDown Live stars Daniel Bryan and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston gatecrashed the segment as well. Drew McIntyre joined the bandwagon and claimed that Reigns was afraid of him and hence shifted sides to SmackDown Live. Two matches were set up by McMahon - Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship and Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre.
Mr. McMahon also revealed a wild-card stipulation which would allow three RAW superstars and three SmackDown superstars to move freely between both the brands.
