WWE Raw Results: Bobby Lashley easily defeats The Miz; Drew McIntyre hints at WrestleMania 37 match with champ
In what was nothing short of a squash match, Bobby Lashley was easily able to retain his WWE Championship against The Miz with Drew McIntyre keeping a close eye on The All Mighty.
Monday Night Raw kickstarted with the rematch for the WWE Championship between the former titleholder The Miz and the newly-crowned champ Bobby Lashley. Before his match, The Hollywood A-Lister bellowed another epic heel promo of how he was forced to defend his title inspite of suffering from "cramps" and was ultimately screwed over. On the other hand, Lashley was given a 'hero welcome' with a new entrance for The All Mighty.
As expected, Bobby and Miz's rematch was nothing short of a squash match as The Hurt Business member toyed around with his opponent tossing him around the ring. Similar to their match last week, Miz ultimately lost after tapping out to Lashley's Hurt Lock submission and hence The All Mighty easily retained his WWE Championship. What was interesting was how Drew McIntyre kept close watch of the match from backstage. Post Bobby's win, The Scottish Psychopath cut a passionate promo on Lashley, hinting at a WrestleMania 37 match between the two powerhouses for the WWE Championship, before being attacked by his former best friend Sheamus.
What followed after a while was a No Disqualification Match between the two brutes as kendo sticks, steel chairs and steel steps were brought into the picture. Eventually, The Scottish Psychopath and The Celtic Warrior rammed into each other with steel steps in tow and collided, crashing to the floor. The match had to be called off by the referee as both McIntyre and Sheamus were unable to respond and medical assistance had to be provided to them.
