WWE News: Is Randy Orton suffering from a neck injury which could shorten his career?
According to a recent report, acclaimed WWE wrestler Randy Orton has been suffering from a neck injury. However, RKO was present at this week's Monday Night RAW. Read below for more details.
Between the Attitude Era and the Reality Era in WWE, there was a major gap known as the Ruthless Aggression Era. After big names like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock left the company, young guns like John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista and Brock Lesnar stepped up. Cena became the face while Orton became the perfect anti-hero for WWE. While Cena and Bautista are busy with their respective Hollywood careers, Brock is a part-time Universal Champion. However, Randy continues to bring forward his A-Game in WWE, at 39!
But, if a recent report by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer is to be believed, Orton is currently struggling with a neck injury, which has resurfaced. "A few years back his doctor told him he would need neck surgery which would have kept him out of action for a year, but later got a second opinion from another doctor who said he didn’t need the surgery," Dave revealed. In the recent past, Nikki Bella and Paige had to retire from wrestling altogether because of life-threatening neck issues.

But it looks like the neck problem is not as life-threatening as the wrestler worked last weekend's WWE Live Events. In this week's Monday Night RAW, Randy made his in-ring return as he took part in a Cross-Branded Top 10 All-Star Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for the Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam 2019.

While Randy made it to the final two, he was eventually eliminated by Seth Rollins, who won the Battle Royal and will try to reclaim back the Universal Championship, which was taken away by Lesnar (Money in the Bank briefcase cash-in) during Extreme Rules 2019.
