Business is about to pick up as all the naysayers were shut for good, thanks to WWE's surprise BREAKING announcement. Last night, Sports Illustrated revealed that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff have been named as the Executive Directors of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. This means that they will be in charge of creative control for both the shows. For a while, the ratings of both RAW and SmackDown have been bad with the WWE Universe complaining about the stale storylines and forgettable feuds.

This is indeed an intriguing decision taken by WWE because it's not only the fans' disinterest that the company is worried about, there is also the up and coming company, AEW (All Elite Wrestling) as a potential rival. While Paul and Eric's position in WWE is that of full-time executive roles, there are no plans for them to make it a storyline with TV-time for Heyman and Bischoff. Paul has immense knowledge on how to make wrestling great again. We got to know this with ECW when he was President from 1993-2001. ECW reached new heights through pay-per-views and a national cable television deal. Recently, he worked as Brock Lesnar's advocate and helped in moulding the character development of various other WWE superstars.

On the other hand, we have Eric Bishoff who was responsible for the infamous wrestling war between WCW's Nitro and Monday Night RAW. Nitro was able to beat RAW's television ratings for 83 weeks straight. He was also the RAW general manager in 2002.
