The WWE Universe was in for a shock when it was announced in January 2019 that Dean Ambrose was not renewing his contract with the company. His contract was supposed to end in April and he was used as mere fodder in not-so-memorable matches. However, towards the end, the wrestler reunited with his brothers Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns and was given the perfect Shield send-off. Rumours were then rife as to what Ambrose's next step will be. Now, we have some clarity.

Dean was given a Twitter handle during his WWE days which merely had three tweets since the wrestler is not the biggest fan of social media. However, when the clock struck midnight today, i.e. May 1, 2019, Dean's Twitter changed instantly. The first thing to notice was how Dean Ambrose now became Jon Moxley. That's right! All indie wrestling fans will know Dean more as the ruthless Jon Moxley. It was as Moxley that WWE took notice of the rising star back in 2010.

Watch the Jon Moxley video below:

According to the video shared by Jon Moxley, we see the wrestler trapped inside the jail and breaking out, Moxley style. In no way is there a reference to WWE and one wonders, where the wrestler is headed to - WWE, AEW or somewhere else entirely? For that, we will have to wait some more to find out!
