VIDEO: Ryan Reynolds almost CRUSHED after a stage barrier collapses at CCXP; Here's how Free Guy star reacted

The 2019 Comic-Con Experience unfolded over the weekend and a few trailers were released on the occasion. Fans attending the event were treated to an extended Black Widow, footage from The Eternals and Wonder Woman 1984 trailer. During the same weekend, Ryan Reynolds made his way to the CCXP to launch the trailer of his upcoming movie, Free Guy. As part of the event, the Deadpool actor took the stage to meet his fans and talk about his movie. The actor stepped down the stage to take a few pictures with fans. 

When the actor reached a crowd of fans, the sea of people rushed towards him. As a result, the stage barrier collapsed. A freak out Reynolds was seen jumping back on the stage in an attempt to not cause more chaos. Once he wrapped his head around the situation, he jumped down to make sure those fallen are okay.

Putting the incident behind him, Reynolds took his spot on the stage with Free Guy director Shawn Levy and co-star Joe Keery. As per a Comicbook.com report, Reynolds asked the crowd once again if they were okay. When the crowd reacted with a loud cheer, he was finally at peace. “That’s a passionate crowd,” Levy said. "I’ve never had that happen before, outside of my own home," Reynolds joked. 

“We had heard that Brazilian fans are possibly the most passionate in the world, and I think now I can confirm that. That is a definite confirmation on that," Levy observed. “I’m coming back here every year, even when I don’t have a movie. That was amazing," Reynolds joked. 

Judging by the videos, it seems like everyone was okay so we are glad that the accident did not lead to an unfortunate situation. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
