Twilight star Kristen Stewart REVEALS why she & Robert Pattinson never spoke about their relationship publicly

One of the highly-publicised relationships in Hollywood was that of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who met and fell in love on the sets of Twilight (2008). The ex-couple began dating in summer 2009 and consequently starred in four more films as part of the Twilight franchise. However, things turned bleak in July 2012 when Kristen's affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) director Rupert Sanders became public news. A brief reconciliation between Robert and Stewart happened in October 2012 but ultimately the young couple split for good in May 2013.

But in some good news, the exes have been extremely amicable with each other with a recent 2018 spotting at Lily-Rose Depp's birthday party. However, very rarely have the two spoken about the other or their past relationship in interviews or otherwise. Even when they were dating during their Twilight days, neither Kristen nor Pattinson openly spoke about their relationship. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, Stewart reveals why Robsten did not publicly address their dating status.

"When me and Rob were together, we did not have an example to go by. So much was taken from us that, in trying to control one aspect, we were just like, 'No, we will never talk about it. Never. Because it’s ours,'" Kristen confessed.
