Top Gun: Maverick Trailer: Tom Cruise still feels the need for speed 34 years later
Tom Cruise is back as the beloved Maverick, 34 years later in Top Gun: Maverick. The trailer was unveiled by Mr. Cruise himself at the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 as the actor made a surprise appearance at Hall H.
"The end is inevitable, Maverick, your kind is headed for extinction," Ed Harris proclaims at Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitch. "Maybe so, sir, but not today," comes the epic reply. 34 years later, but the motorcycle-riding, flying jets like a piece of cake, bomber jacket and Ray-Bans wearing with a killer smile Maverick is back with a bang. He still "feels the need, the need for speed." Surprising the entire crowd at Hall H during the San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Tom Cruise unveiled the brand new trailer of the highly awaited sequel to Top Gun (1986). Titled Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise makes us realise that age is just a number!
34 years since the events of the original Top Gun, Maverick is now a flight instructor where he guides his late flight partner Nick "Goose" Bradshaw's son Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller). The trailer includes nostalgia-filled moments from Goose's photo in Maverick's locker to Bradley taking up his dad's passion for banging on the piano keys ("Bring back, that lovin' feelin'!"). The power-packed trailer is not short of Cruise's death-defying stunts as he himself is the pilot! But, did you expect anything different from Mr. Mission Impossible?
