To imagine the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) without Robert Downey Jr. is unfathomable but we'll have to move on. Spider-Man: Far From Home is just days away from release and we won't be seeing Iron Man in this like we did in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). However, the offscreen bond between Robert and Tom Holland still lives on. In various interviews, while promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home, Tom has spoken candidly about his friendship with RDJ and how they still keep in touch.

At the red carpet of the LA premiere of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Holland was asked how it feels to be in a Spider-Man film without Robert. To this, the actor revealed, "It was really emotional. I've only ever made a Spider-Man movie with Robert and he's a great friend of mine. I was Face-timing him last night and he wished me the best of luck. We'll miss him but he will never be forgotten." Furthermore, Tom also disclosed what he has saved Downey's name as in his phone's contact list; 'RDJ The Godfather'.
