Thor: Love and Thunder star Natalie Portman to star in Avengers 5? Deets Inside

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige announced that Thor: Love and Thunder is happening. The new movie will fall in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4, the studio confirmed at the San Diego Comic-Con. The fourth Thor movie in the franchise will bring about some changes in the future of the MCU. The biggest change will be that Natalie Portman, who essayed the role of Jane Foster in Thor and Thor: The Dark World, will take over as the new Thor. She will make history by becoming the first female Thor, Marvel Studios confirmed. 

While it is still unclear how Taika Waititi will manage to take the mantel from Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder and hand the Mjolnir to Natalie, it seems like Jane will hold on to the superhero's hammer beyond just Thor: Live and Thunder. If sources are to be believed, Natalie might feature in her first Avengers movie following Thor 4. 

Insiders told We Got This Covered that the female Thor might make her way to join the new league of Avengers. While it doesn't seem like a new Avengers movie is on the block anytime soon, that doesn't mean no one is going to talk about it. The new Avengers movie, dubbed as Avengers 5, would include the Thor standing beside a few new faces. While we have to wait until Marvel Studios confirms this news, we wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be true.

Feige had previously teased Avengers 5 in an interview with MTV News. Describing the new lineup, he said, "It will be a very different team than we've seen before, that's what [Avengers: Endgame] was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you've already met and some people you haven't met yet."
