Taika Waititi is all set to direct the upcoming Marvel movie Thor 4 starring Chris Hemsworth in the titular role. Taika had previously also directed the movie Thor: Ragnarok.
A good news is awaiting for the Marvel fans as one of their favourite superheroes, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, is all set to return with the upcoming movie Thor 4. We all remember the last time when Thor was seen in the movie Avengers: Endgame. According to the latest reports, Marvel Studios are officially done with their Phase 3 post the movie Spider - Man: Far From Home. So, the movie Thor 4 happens to be a kind of official update regarding Phase 4.
Now, Marvel Studios have recruited director Taika Waititi for the upcoming movie Thor 4. For the unversed, Taika had also directed the blockbuster movie Thor: Ragnarok. Initially, Waititi was supposed to begin with another project of his which happens to be a live - action adaptation of Akira. But now, this particular project is going to be delayed as the director is going to be busy with Thor 4. Therefore, Akira, which was earlier scheduled to be released on May 21, 2021, has now been pushed indefinitely.
There is definitely a solid reason behind Taika Waititi being recruited by Marvel Studios for Thor 4. This is because the previous movie, Thor: Ragnarok which was also helmed by the director, performed extremely well at the box office. Now, the Marvel fans are quite excited to know about where the story of Thor 4 is going to pick up post the events of Avengers: Endgame. However, we do hope to see the superhero in a better form this time unlike the fat Thor of Avengers: Endgame.
