Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Here's WHY Justin Bieber got involved and defended his longtime manager
Soon after Taylor Swift called out Scooter Braun in a long, scathing post, Justin Bieber called out the ME! singer. The "I Don't Care" singer shared a long post defending his longtime manager and friend.
This week began on a dramatic note courtesy Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun. The two celebrities from the music industry made the headlines after Taylor accused the celebrity manager of “manipulative bullying." She called him out in a long social media post after Braun's company acquired Big Machine Records. The company owns Taylor's music catalogue. This development left the singer furious. Soon after she called him out, Justin Bieber dived into the controversy and reacted to her post. At first, he poked fun at her before apologising and defending Braun.
The "I Don't Care" singer posted a long message addressing it to Taylor as he took Braun's side. Now, a source has told People Magazine that Justin stood up for Braun because he “felt the need to defend” his “friend and mentor.” The insider revealed that Braun has helped the singer while he struggles through his mental health problems. JB has been battling mental health problems which include depression, anxiety and ADHD. Braun has helped the Canadian singer focus on his health while he takes a break from his music.
“[Scooter] has been very understanding and encouraging of Justin taking a break from making a new album and instead focusing on his mental health. Justin thinks Scooter has a big heart [and] thought Taylor’s bashing of Scooter was unfair. [Bieber] doesn’t plan to make any more public statements defending Scooter. He really just wants the whole thing to die down. It’s a small business, and he doesn’t want there to be hate," the grapevine told People Magazine.

Previously a source told E! News that Taylor was and still is "furious" with Scooter. "She was furious and she still is. She is so upset and has zero regrets about making this public," the source revealed. The singer believes that Scooter went ahead with the deal with the intention to hurt her. "She has her friends who will stand by and support her, too. She feels very strongly about this, and standing up to Scooter," the insider added.
As for Scooter, a source told Us Weekly that Braun wants to have a private conversation with Swift. "He has no intention of releasing a formal statement and blowing up the situation even more than it already has been. This is between Scooter and Taylor, not the world," the source revealed.
