Taylor Swift launches LGBTQ anthem 'You need to calm down'; announces release date of her new album 'Lover'
Hollywood singing sensation Taylor Swift has finally released the LGBTQ anthem 'You need to calm down'. She also announced her new music album titled 'Lover'. Check out.
The American pop singer- songwriter Taylor Swift always manages to take away everyone's thunder with her mesmerizing songs. Earlier in April, she had released the lead single, ME! starring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, from her new album. It clearly hinted towards the name of the album. In the video, we can see Taylor screaming out to Brendon, "Je Suis Calme" and the lyrics said in one line, "Baby doll, when it comes to a *lover*, I promise that you'll never find another like ME!"
On friday, she finally made the announcement and revealed details about her much-awaited seventh music album. Titled as Lover, it is all set to release on August 23, this year. In fact, she also unveiled another single off the new record, a pro-LGBT anthem called You Need To Calm Down. Only the lyric video of the anthem has been released and the music video will be out on June 17. Fans are really excited about the tracks of this upcoming album.
June is the LGBT pride month. And, You Need To Calm Down is a gay pride anthem. It's lyrics go as, "And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate. 'Cause shade never made anybody less gay." In fact, on June 1, Taylor celebrated LGBTQ pride at the 2019 iHeart Radio Wango Tango concert that took place in California.
