Taylor Swift is in utter dismay that Scooter Braun owning her entire music catalogue. Yes, all of the six albums she recorded with her former record label, Big Machine Label Group. Scooter Braun's media holding company called Ithaca Holdings LLC, took over the Big Machine Label Group and a contract was drafted wherein Braun's company bought Big Machine Music for a reported amount of $300 million. This gives Braun the right to own all six albums published by Taylor Swift. The singer has openly spoken against the deal.
Taylor Swift went on to say that she was bullied when she wanted to own her music but was told to bring Big Machine Records on board and just earn from one album at a time. She further added that such a idea was nothing less than bullying. This deal between Ithaca Holdings LLC and Big Machine Label Group has totally left Taylor Swift in a sad and disappointed state. She said in a post on her Tumblr page that she was devastated by this news.
Scooter Braun also represents Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande and will soon get hold of music by other artists such as Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, and Lady Antebellum as the deal has now got finalized between the two music companies. Taylor Swift is left utterly in dismay as the person she never wanted around her music will now own her entire music catalogue.
