Taylor Swift to be bestowed with the 1st Woman of the Decade Award at Billboard's 2019 Women in Music Event
In what has been an extraordinary career for Taylor Swift, the Lover singer will be bestowed with the first-ever Woman of the Decade Award at Billboard's 2019 Women in Music Event. Read below for more details about Taylor's big honour.
It's been an intriguing week for Taylor Swift as she was recently embroiled in another controversy with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta from Big Machine Records. Taylor took to Twitter to accuse Scooter and Scott of stopping the singer from performing her old hits at the 2019 American Music Awards, where Swift is receiving the Artist of the Decade Award. But this is not the only milestone accolade that the 29-year-old singer is receiving. As per Billboard, the You Need To Calm Down Singer will be the first-ever recipient of the Woman of the Decade Award at their 2019 Women in Music Event.
As one of the most accomplished artists of this decade, there are several reasons as to why the songstress is bestowed with this huge honour. Taylor has had five No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart as well as five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other accomplishments include three worldwide stadium tours and two Billboard Woman of the Year Awards. According to Billboard, Swift is also being honoured for her "commitment to protecting creative rights, music education, literacy programs, cancer research, disaster relief and the Time's Up initiative."
According to my jet lag it is one hundred o clock celsius.
Congratulations from the Swifties!
