A few weeks ago, Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo were asked what role would Dwayne The Rock Johnson could play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The wrestler-turned-actor has already been roped in Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe. However, the Marvel directors were asked if they were to lop in the Hobbs & Shaw actor, what superhero role would they want him to essay in MCU. The directors said that Dwayne would fit perfect as The Rock. Days after that statement, Dwayne reacted to their pick.

The actor, who was last seen in the Fast & Furious spin-off, shared that he takes the Russo Brothers' statement as a compliment. Speaking with Comicbook.com, the actor agreed that he would be the ideal The Rock in the universe. "I think I would have to, that's the thing. And I appreciate the Russo Brothers. I've known those guys for a long time and I appreciate the compliment and we would have to see," he said.

Adding to his reaction, he laughed, "So, basically what they're saying is, is I don't need a cape. Basically, what they said, I could be the leader of the Marvel universe. That's my interpretation." Well, that's one way of looking at it. This isn't the first time that The Rock reacted to Russo Brothers' statement. When the director duo said, "The superhero that I would most like The Rock to play is The Rock. He is the best version of him," Johnson took to Twitter and shared his reaction. "I was born to play this role. Literally. I’ll call you tonight Russo Bros!!! Time to rule the MCU.. forever," he tweeted.
